I have been thinking about opening my own blog for ages but somehow I never got around to doing it. Usually my excuses were: I don't have enough time, I'll do it next week, I cannot be bothered and so on. Mind you, I think they were all good and, at the same time, valid excuses. However, when you live abroad, travel a lot and meet so many people along the way, a blog becomes a kind of necessity, a way to remind yourself, and the people you have met, all the things, events and situations that you probably would forget otherwise . It has taken me 5 years to open this blog. Someone would say "better later than never". I say it would be better earlier than later but...hey, life is a complex thing and sometimes your energy needs to be applied to more important causes. So, here I am now. Let the fun begin...

L'idea di aprire un blog tutto mio mi frullava nella testa da tanto tempo ma, in qualche modo, non sono mai riuscita a farlo. Di solito, i motivi della rinuncia erano: non ne ho tempo, lo faro' la prossima settimana, oggi non me ne va e via dicendo. Certo, tutte scuse valide e, allo stesso tempo, vere. Ad ogni modo, quando si vive all'estero, si viaggia il mondo e si incontrano cosi' tante persone lungo la strada, un blog diventa una specie di necessita', un modo per ricordare a se stessi e agli altri tutte le esperienze, gli eventi e le situazioni che altrimenti finirebbero nel dimenticatoio. Qualcuno direbbe "meglio tardi che mai". Io dico meglio presto che tardi ma...si sa, la vita non e' mai cosa semplice e , a volte, richiede che le nostre energie vengano utilizzate per cause piu' importanti. Comunque sia andata, sono qui ora. Che inizino pure le danze...
